Kani in Japanese means crab. The negotiation of personal identity and the effects of cultural adaptation is a lifelong process. Cancer is the fourth astrological sign of the Zodiac. The difficulty to blend into the world surrounding them makes adaptation and formation of the Cancer's identity a confusing and frustrating experience. Love and emotional irritability wind together and then pull apart the Cancer's mood, where it begins to swing like a pendulum. The Cancer only loves when in the presence of love.
Some memories and feelings can only be expressed in certain ways. Through a native tongue, through a learned tongue, through body language or music, or through incomprehensible noise. Thegn explores these concepts by utilizing sparse and repetitive lyrics painfully shouted over an often relentlessly noisy industrial techno backdrop, making for a record of all these memories of emotions as uncomfortable to listen to as they are to feel.
